“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”
Theodore Roosevelt
It seems to me that we spend a lot of time wishing and hoping for what we don’t have. “If only I had (fill in the blank), then I could get ahead!” Aspirations and desires aren’t bad in themselves, but we shouldn’t let our current reality keep us from taking action. We might not have the latest gadget or some skill someone else has, but we all start somewhere.
Stop and take a look around. Reflect on what you have available to you right now.
Maybe it’s 20 minutes during a lunch break for reading or writing. Maybe it’s a bag of sand instead of a set of weights. Just because we don’t have the best money can buy at our disposal right now is no excuse for inaction.
Take a step in the right direction towards your goals today. Go move something heavy around the yard. Go put all your medical supplies in one bag to start a first aid kid.
Do something. Do what you can, right now.
If you wait around you are going to lose valuable time and valuable experience.
So what step are you going to take today?
